Club news and announcements

  • Presentation night

Our annual presentation night is on Monday, 10 December this year, and will be at the Redwell Brewery in Trowse, from 7pm to 10pm. It's a great venue which we have to ourselves for the evening, so be there! The venue is easily overlooked - it's under the bridge as you head out from the city. Just over the bridge, turn sharply back on yourself to the left and it's in the arches: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Redwell+Brewing+Taproom/@52.6146756,1.3126623,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xc39c567522d7030c?ved=2ahUKEwj3kNyootHeAhWII8AKHYimDiYQ_BIwCnoECAQQCA

  • Nigel Arnold wins European championship silver in duathlon

Nigel Arnold raced in the European Duathlon Championships in Ibiza on 21 October and managed to win an extraordinarily impressive silver medal in his age category - this is competing against the rest of Europe! Erstwhile Gazelle Phil Hurr, now of NNBR, also won silver, but in the sprint distance. A really good showing for Norfolk there!

  • Anne Ellen at World Athletic Championships

Once again our masters superstar Anne Ellen has shone on the international stage! On 9th September she ran the 10K race at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga, coming 7th overall (and first GB) in a time of 46:27. 3 days later she came 7th again (and first GB again) in the 5,000 metres track event, in 22:05.

  • Run/walk group - volunteers, please!

Alongside Dudley’s new C25k, we’ll be continuing the existing run/walk group on Monday nights. Sam and Mimi have led a lot of these sessions but we’re always after more volunteers to give new runners a boost – please have a word with Sam, Carol or Mimi if you’re able to lead a Monday night run/walk group.
