This year's "Three Tenors", the event that recognises improvements in performance in 10K events from the previous year, has a revised format. The Committee hopes that these changes will make the event accessible to more Gazelles. Again, there will be a prize for the winner. A summary of the rules follows:
The aim is for Gazelles to compete in at least three 10K Norfolk events in 2010. The runner that has the biggest improvement over last year's time is the winner.
Provided that you ran at least one of last year's Norfolk 10K's, you qualify for this year. The qualification time is the average of your fastest 10K and your final 10K from 2009, if you ran two or more 10K's. If you only ran one, your qualification time will be calculated by adding a 5% penalty to your time for that race.
This year, all Norfolk 10K events are eligible and you don't need to register your time. The average of your best three 10K's will be your 2010 time. The 2009 qualification time is subtracted from this to get the improvement.
A complete list of current standings will be available on each club night. It will be updated shortly after each 10K event. The current leader board (28th June) is:
| 1. | Steve Corbould | |
| 2. | Tim Woods | |
| 3. | Jackie Harrop | |
| 4. | Tracy Stevenson | |
| 5. | Pete Johnson | |
| 6. | Nigel Arnold | |
