In atrocious conditions, Jason Kelf was 32nd in the Bungay Black Dog Marathon, and 12th in the Mens Veteran 40 class, in a time of 3:21:36; Doug Bridges was 78th in 3:42:43, out of 197 finishers. In the Half Marathon, Jon Kelf was 72nd in 1:37:13, David Barclay and Anthony Gordon-Gray also ran, there were 373 finishers.

Paul Higham had a very strong run to finish 37th out of 3,306 finishers at the Lincoln 10K in a time of 35:54.

Nigel Arnold and Pete Johnson had great results in the 50-54 yrs class at the national British Masters Athletic Federation championships held as part of the Nationwide Bath Half Marathon. Nigel was 2nd in VM50 class and 85th overall in 1:16:38 out of a toal of 10054 finishers. Pete Johnson was 5th in the class in 1:19:37 and 135th overall.

Steve Baldwin was 3rd overall in 34:38, Tim Lenton was 5th and Mick Yaxley was 9th overall. Mick's time of 35:57 made him 2nd in the Mens 40-49 class, Phil Cooper was 4th in the same class and Debbie Moore was 4th in the Ladies 40-49 class in 46:53. Also running in the awful weather were Christopher Baldwin, Jennie Burfoot, Helen Coyte-Mckenzie, Matthew Green, Graham Hardingham, Charlie Middleton and Tracy Stevenson.

12 Gazelles ran in the Roger Wing Charity 10K organised by the Bungay Black Dog Running Club. Pete Johnson was 1st in the Mens 50-59 class in 39:12 and 16th overall, Peter Thompson was 5th in the same class and Kevin Hardingham 7th. Les Hill was 9th in the 40-49 class. Jenny Burfoot was 3rd in the Ladies Over 55 class and Linda Farrow was 5th, Anne Ellen was 6th in the 45-54 class and Jackie Harrop 9th. Christine Bloomfield, Graham Hardingham, Carolyn Poole and Ian Woods were also running.

Paul Higham was 7th in 1:23:14, Peter Thompson was 6th in the 50-59 class. Hazel Laddiman was 3rd in the Ladies 45-54 class, Anne Ellen 4th and Thirza Radford-Gore 9th. Sue Atkinson, Andrew Burrage, Helen Hunt, Charlie Middleton and Rosie Rogers were also amongst the 234 finishers.

Tim Lenton Paul Higham and Matthew Green won the Senior Mens Team prize at the Wymondham 10 Mile race, and Nigel Arnold Mick Yaxley and Pete Johnson won the Veteran Mens prize. Tim Lenton was 3rd overall in 58:53, Nigel Arnold was 1st Vet home and 5th overall in 59:39, Mick Yaxley was 6th, Paul Higham 7th and Pete Johnson 8th.
Sue Atkinson, Chris Baldwin, Steve Baldwin, Andrew Burrage, Carolyn Burrage, Linda Farrow, Anne Ellen, Anthony Gordon-Gray, Rosemary Rogers, Tracy Stevenson and Peter Thompson also ran amongst the 219 finishers.
Also, Barbara Gaylor, Jason Kelf, Hazel Laddiman, Jane Moore and John Moore ran in the 20 Mile race.

John Moore was 1st Gazelle at the Great East Run in 1:23:43 for the 20K, just ahead of Matthew Green in 1:24:52 and Suzannah Brooks in 1:26:31. Sue Atkinson, Andrew Burrage,Richard Gilham, Jackie Harrop, Leslie Hill, Charlie Middleton,Carolyn Poole and Peter Thompson also ran. There were 540 finishers.

Congratulations to Kevin Youngs on becoming Norfolk Road Runner for the year 2007 with an 85% age grading. This was based on Wroxham 5K, Great Yarmouth Half-Marathon, Dereham 10 Miles and the Great Eastern 10K.
Kevin also received the Peter Andrews Award, again with an 85% age grading, for the Wissey Valley Half-Marathon and the Fenland 10K.
Just remember Kevin is 59 years young....top

Pete Johnson was 1st in the Men's 50-54 in 37:49 and Kevin Youngs was 3rd in the Men's 55-59 in 38:34. Catherine Jordan was 2nd in the Ladies' 50-54 in 45:47. Sue Atkinson, Carol Betts, David Betts, Jason Black, Kevin Blackwell, Jennie Burfoot, Linda Farrow, Hayley Gerrard, Richard Gilham, Kevin Hardingham, Hazel Laddiman, Jane Moore, David Peacock, Carolyn Poole and Peter Thompson also ran amongst the 349 finishers.

Nigel Arnold won the Men's 50/59, and was 3rd overall, at the Waveney Valley 10 Mile Turkey Trot in a time of 57:24. Paul Higham was 8th and Matt Varley was 13th, so Gazelles claimed 1st prize in the Men's event. John Moore was 6th in the Men's 40/49. There were 155 finishers.

31 Gazelles raced in the City of Norwich Half-Marathon on 2nd December despite the appalling weather. Nigel Arnold was 12th overall and 1st in the Men's 50/54 class in 1:18:01. Michael Yaxley was 13th overall and 1st in the Men's 45/49 class in 1:19:09. Pete Johnson was 3rd in the Men's 50/54 and John Moore was 8th in the Men's 45/49.
Carol Betts was 2nd in the Ladies' 50/54 in 1:45:16. In the Ladies' 60+ Lesley Oliver was 5th, Marilyn Rankin 6th and Sue Atkinson 8th. Debbie Moore was 6th in the Ladies' 40/44.
There were 1770 finishers overall.
Another 7 Gazelles raced in the Race4Each 5K. Anne Ellen was 1st in the Ladies' 50/54 in 25:04, and Gazelles had 1st and 2nd in the Men's 45/49 with Kevin Hardingham in 20:28 and Graham Hardingham in 21:08. Basil Crisp was 1st in the Men's 55/59 in 25:23, Jenny Burfoot was 4th in the Ladies' 55/59 and Linda Farrow was 1st in the Ladies' 60+ in 30:25. Penny Powell was also running. There were 214 finishers.

Nigel Arnold was 1st in the Men's 50/54 class, and 2nd overall, only 6 seconds behind the winner, in the first of the 3 race cross-country series organised by Norwich Road Runners at Horsford.The next race is on 6th January.

The team members were Tim Lenton, Jamie Seamark, Lucy Cooper, John Moore, Sam Phillips, Nigel Arnold, Mick Yaxley, Su Brooks, Steve Baldwin, Jason Kelf, Del Bridges, Paul Higham, Pete Johnson, Phil Cooper, Peter Thompson, Ashley Lawrence and Paul Sandford. Congratulations also to Trevor Adcock and Les Hill and all the others in the Support Team.
